Your monthly recap of the features developed by the RG Team!

News from July!

Summer has finally arrived and while heat is overwhelming us, we’d like to suggest some refreshers with RG News !

1 - RG Supervision | Welcome to the world of Automation!

As an IT infrastructure manager, you have to run repetitive maintenance operations on a daily basis. This is why we have decided to simplify your life by offering you our new Automation feature!   This feature is based on the ReactEngine technology developed by the RG Team and allows you to set up curative actions following the detection of one or more events.   For example, if your Dashboard detects a hardware failure, you can choose to automatically start a data backup and send a message to the service technician in charge to mitigate the issue.   With Automation, RG System takes a new step in infrastructure management by integrating automatic problem resolution features; your Dashboard becomes an intelligent wizard.

2 - RG Supervision | Mac OS agent is now available!

Our community was looking for this feature for a long time and, and you are now able to monitor your Mac OS environments!   Mac OS agent comes with the Auto Update feature that allows it to update itself automatically since the version 2.3.4773.m64, just like Microsoft Windows and Linux agents. The version of your agent is visible on its Pedigree.   We therefore draw your attention to the fact that all Mac OS agents with previous version than version 2.3.4773.m64 must be reinstalled in order to benefit from this Auto Update feature. All you need to do is select the "Retrieve History" option during the reinstall process to keep the machine's data.   Also note that the Mac OS agent remains free this summer and will only be charged from September 1st :)

7 - Bugs & Fixes

In agility, the resolution of bugs is a PRIORITY! So we decided to devote a special section to their resolution, because unfortunately there is no software without bugs, and that solving them participates in the quality process of your Dashboard :)
  • regular cuts in the Heartbit curve plugin are now resolved
  • the "runAs64Bits" option of your Custom Scripts is functional again
  • you can delete a node on which manual tickets have been created
  • the same applies to users that you can delete again
  • finally, it is possible to indicate an advanced retention value to 0 in the configuration of your RG Backup policy
